Position: Senior Sales Engineer – Cable Management

Employment: Full Time

Job description / Role:

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for managing sales support service to MEP Contractors (CUSTOMERS) in Qatar whilst at the same time expanding the business by generating new customers independently.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain and develop current business as well as generate new business

• Review quotations to ensure specification compliance

• Follow up quotations, enquiries, orders and deliveries

• Preparation of Pre-Qualification Documents and Material Submittal as per project requirement.

• Promote Company Cable Management Systems to consultants and potential clients

• Prepare sales reports, data and spread sheets for the Sales Manager and sales team colleagues

• Make data analysis and swiftly identify significant trends/changes in the market place

• Review specifications and identify the appropriate product range to quote.

• General office duties and assistance to the Sales Manager

Requirements

• Currently employed as a sales engineer with a (local representative of a) manufacturer of steel based cable management systems or working in sales in a related mechanical field.

• Proven track record as a successful sales person in the above position

• You have working knowledge of applicable British Standards and European Norms

• A knowledge of galvanizing processes and principals of galvanic action (dissimilar metal corrosion) is desirable

• Ability to identify those enquiries that will result in orders from those that are merely testing the market

• You strive for perfection, and are continuously looking for more efficient and effective working procedures and quality

• PC Literate which is to include working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage.
