One of our clients, a fast-growing home decoration and soft furnishings company is looking of an Upholsterer to join their team of young, dynamic, and experienced professionals providing a uniquely tailored service to a diverse portfolio of clients.
The chosen candidate needs to be comfortable working with the respective machinery used to create and refurbish various soft furnishing items such as chairs, sofas, headboards, and bed bases.
The Upholsterer should be:
- able to use a sewing machine, especially when doing piping, double piping, and French seams.
- able to use all upholstery hand tools.
- able to upholster a wide range of furniture, chairs, sofas, and beds.
- able to cut, shape and apply new foams, webbing, and dacryon.
- able to make patterns for fabrics to be sewn together.
- able to do various tufting designs, diamond, square.
- able to do Ribbing, quilting.
- competent in woodwork for repairs or building of furniture.
- competent in using woodworking tools.
- driven to create things to a higher standard.
- willing to learn different technics to achieve a higher level of work.
