Position:

Shift Controller

Position Summary:

Co-ordinate the complete aircraft exterior washing, interior cleaning and bright work polishing. Communicate with customers punctually when required.

Primary Job Functions:

Ensuring work is completed to company standards and taking responsibility for the maintaining of those standards.

Engaging with the customers to ensure seamless co-ordination of fulfillment of requests and expectations within company capability and capacity.

Evaluating cleaning team members as part of competence assessments.

Planning operational strategies on a daily basis and Staff allocation to task(s)

Oversight of all aircraft servicing activities utilizing Organization’s SOP’s

Following procedures in accordance with Safety & Quality guidelines

Ensure reporting of hazards & occurrences

Completion of all relevant task cards

Following-up handovers

Email responding & coordination to company expectations while on duty

Coordinating with relevant authorities for approvals, movements & operations

Maintaining all washing equipment in a serviceable state.

Unserviceable equipment must be reported to the Maintenance Manager.

Secondary Job Functions:

Washing the exterior of aircraft.

Cleaning the interior of aircraft by means of vacuuming, wiping and washing carpets, leather seats, cabinetry and any other specific areas.

Driving, delivering, loading, unloading or any other support activities for any other company department as directed by the company management.

Complete any other needed fair and legal tasks / services required by Management.

Required Qualification and Education: 

Good medical fitness is essential.

United Arab Emirates Light Vehicle Drivers Licence is essential.

Basic computer skills with MS Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and Outlook are essential.

Excellent English ability (Speak – Understand – Read – Write).

Preferred Qualification and Education:

Previous experience of upholstery or exterior cleaning of vehicles will be an advantage

Previous aviation experience will be an advantage.

Note:

Candidate must have their own vehicle.

Position depends on candidate passing requirements for UAE Residency visa and Dubai Airports Airside access pass.

Essential Skills and Attitude:

An understanding of service delivery nature of the company’s business and be willing to initiate service whenever the customer requests. This will entail shift work and telephone and/or email responses while being ‘on-call’ duty.

An outgoing personality who can engage with strangers via telephone or email in a friendly but professional manner at all times.

Must be willing to work (within UAE governmental guidelines) in the prevailing outdoor environmental conditions throughout the year.

Must be willing to continuously learn.

Must be willing to engage respectfully with all customers and colleagues.

Must be willing to accept constructive criticism from management/senior colleagues.

Maintain honesty and credibility with moral and ethical behaviour at all times.

Must maintain privacy of any information related to company’s activities, employees and customers.

Must maintain a neat and tidy personal appearance and the highest levels of personal hygiene.

Must be aware of, understand and exercise standards of safety.

Employee may be required to travel within the UAE or internationally and temporarily stay at locations outside Dubai should the company require them to do so.
