A reputed Consumer Goods & Retail Group in UAE is looking for Legal Consultant to be responsible to manage all legal matters, provide legal advice including legal representation and facilitating pre-trials and all court related works arising from diversified business in the Group. It holds a pivotal role in identifying risks and legal issues involved in any decisions pertaining to the strategies or business objectives and effectively communicate & advise to the Management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Handle all litigations and disputes including legal representation and facilitate all pre-trial and court related works.
2. Coordinate and work collaboratively with external Stakeholders/ Vendors/ Consultants/ Agencies to manage legal disputes and cases efficiently in a cost-effective manner.
3. Conduct and investigate all legal claims and complaints within and against the company, prepare investigation reports & findings to the Top Management and provide proper advice to all aspects of the legal claims and the associated risks.
4. Actively coordinate with all concerned Departments & other stakeholders in evaluation of a litigation to provide proper recommendation like prosecution, dismissal or outside court settlement based on top-management decision.
5. Monitor the legal and regulatory environment including customer contracts, business agreements, lease contracts, consultancy contracts, purchase agreements, licensing agreements, insurance deals, property matters, confidentiality agreements, company law, labor law and provide necessary advises including changes or amendments as and when required.
6. Support business partners and participate in the drafting, negotiating and finalization of contracts between the organization and its vendors, consultants, contractors and customers (Suppliers, Vendors, Real estate, Insurance providers, etc.) as and when required.
7. Work on formulation of business policies, group legal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigation of legal risks.
8. Analyze all probable legal outcomes of the cases using know-how of legal precedents.
9. Research legal issues and laws and maintain updated legal information and maintain proper legal data base.Â
