Job Purpose:

The Enterprise Risk Specialist is responsible for assisting in developing and implementing the enterprise risk management framework for the organization and conducting enterprise risk management activities, covering the risk management cycle from identification, to management and communication.

In addition, this role is responsible for identifying areas of potential risks, analyzing impact on the relevant directorates/ departments and facilitating the implementation of appropriate mitigation plans in coordination with the relevant stakeholders.

Job Specific Responsibilities:

·        Assist in developing and implementing a risk management framework to facilitate the administration of risk management cycle (from identifying of risks to communicating to the relevant stakeholders). Highlight the aim and methodology of this framework to the relevant stakeholders.

·        Perform research on new risk assessment techniques when required to support the department/organization in mitigating their critical risks and support in achieving its organizational objectives.

·        Support the Enterprise Risk Section Head in developing Organization’s internal risk management processes, tools and techniques and support the roll out of these processes to the relevant stakeholders across the board.

·        Maintain a risk register, tracking any identified organization related risk.

·        Assist in assessing and analyzing identified risks and suggests mitigating actions.

·        Facilitate the development of appropriate mitigation plans with relevant stakeholders in order to safeguard the best interest of the organization. This also includes support executing these mitigation plans if risks are triggered.

·        Assist in the development and monitoring of organization risk indicators to ensure these risks are monitored regularly and effectively.

·        Assist in building a risk aware culture within organization by conducting risk awareness sessions and providing appropriate training to the relevant stakeholders.

·        Provide input on risk areas and risk impact assessment to support the Internal Audit Team in developing the Audit Plan.

·        Produce reports or presentations that outline findings, risk positions and recommended changes, as and when required.

·        Maintain a system to support ongoing reporting and analysis of metric data. Produce reports as directed by the Enterprise
