CNC Operator Duties

Looking for a competent CNC Operator to use computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery safely and accurately to perform a variety of functions.

We need highly skilled professionals, able to work with great concentration and precision

Must comply with all safety guidelines.

CNC Operator Machinist Skills and Qualifications:

·         Conceptual Skills, Process Improvement, Verbal Communication, Functional and Technical Skills, Controls and Instrumentation, Supply Management, Tooling, Coordination, Inventory Control, Attention to detail, Judgment.

·         Proven experience as CNC operator

·         Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools

·         Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings

·         Computer savvy with basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM

·         Mechanical aptitude and good math skills

·         A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach

·         Good communication abilities

·         High school diploma or equivalent; certificate or diploma in engineering or relevant discipline is a plus

·         Successfully completed apprenticeship is required

JOB DUTIES OF HELPER

·         To receive and follow instructions from the production supervisor.

·         To prepare work as allocated for the daily sessions.

·         To ensure all relevant materials and equipment are prepared for any particular piece of work.

·         To ensure all relevant equipment is clean and safe to operate on a daily basis.

·         To report any faults in equipment to the production supervisor.

·         To instruct and assist service users to undertake particular pieces of work.

·         To check regularly that the work is being completed to the specification and standard required by the customer.

·         To complete any documentation required by the customer.

·         To complete the attendance registers accurately as instructed.

·         To liaise with staff as required and report any information requested.

·         Any other duties appropriate to the nature of the workshop
