Black & Grey HR is recruiting for one of the top Energy contractors in Dubai. Our client is looking for a HSE Manager to manage, supervise & monitor the overall operations of the HSE department, responsible for the design, implementation, communication and coordination of all environmental, health, and safety programs. Develop and provide technical and administrative direction on all EHS decisions. You will be responsible to 

– Review internal EHS policies and practices to ensure they are current and appropriate; conduct hazard and risk assessments and change existing, or develop new recommendations from these assessments

– Responsible for the staffing and directing the Divisions EHS Department, including the management of all Field Safety Managers and staff

– Actively participate in the scheduling of safety meetings across Company locations to review EHS performance and policies. Lead and participate into various EHS risk analysis during design, construction and commissioning phases of projects

– Implementation and maintain EHS Risk Assessment programs, and ensure conformance to the requirements as outlined in internationally recognized standards such as ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, etc and by environmental & safety standards, law & legislations of the government

– Ensure Emergency Response arrangements are in place and interface with Clients

– Lead investigations on environmental and safety incidents including near misses, injuries, releases, and non-compliance. Ensure that root causes are identified, and effective corrective actions are implemented in a timely fashion​

– Assist project team in investigation of all project incidents (GL/WC/Recordable Incidents, Near Miss and First Aid) and ensure proper records are completed and submitted. Assist in implementation of corrective actions as it relates to the incident and ensure “lessons learned” are communicated throughout the Company and are incorporated into the program, if necessary

Requirements- Minimum 10 years experience as a HSE Manager in Oil & Gas 

– Bachelor degree in Engineering and/or in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental fields and NEBOSH Certificate

– Knowledge of Incident Investigation & sound knowledge of current HSE legislation

-Ability to develop HSE plans, campaigns & strategies for improvement and sharing of lessons learnt

– Familiar with UAE and International HSE regulations and standards
