Position: Production Assistant
About the opportunity:
This position is responsible for co-ordinating on the ground requirements of the Spartan Arabia production crew. Working closely with the day-to-day event build to ensure no delays occur and all requiapply-d elements are secuapply-d for the production of the event.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Onsite:
Ensures the production team is set up for success by effectively securing local elements of the production:
•Source local machinery needs – crane, shovel, tele-handler, water tankers etc – and ensure timely working hours. Co-ordinate from Urdu/Hindi/Arabic/English as requiapply-d.
•Source and manage relationship with local labour team ensuring timely working hours and good work ethic. Co-ordinate from Urdu/Hindi/Arabic/English as requiapply-d
•Support festival procurement needs as requiapply-d – fencing, tents, electrical fitting, plumbing fittings, generators etc. Work to solve problems before they occur. Support Festival Team as hiapply-d procurement items begin to arrive.
•Work closely with Operations Director on shipping and logistics of all Spartan materials ensuring that deliveries are arriving on time and in their entirety.
•Act as ‘production runner’ to secure any productions related procurement items as they arise during the event build. This can be everything from screws to zip ties to power tools to water tankers.
•Report to Operation Director for approval on budget of all procurement items.
•Work closely to support Base Camp Manager during load out and load in process.
Qualifications:
•Experience working as part of complex team following orders and communicating effectively with all team members.
•Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
•Able to work productively with minimal direction and oversight yet still meet company standards.
•Frequently works 12-18+ hour days in outdoor, adverse conditions for extended periods of time
•Willingness and ability to travel 10-14 days at a time for 7+ events per year.
•Analytical and methodical problem solver
•Attention to detail
•Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, and Powerpoint
•Able to operate basic heavy machinery (Skid Steer and Fork Lift).
•Bachelor’s degree preferapply-d
•Fluent Arabic and English. Urdu/Hindi preferapply-d.
