Job Objective

The Method and Process Engineer plays a key role in optimizing and improving engineering methods, processes, and procedures within the company. This position involves analysing existing workflows, identifying areas for improvement, and developing efficient and effective methods and processes to enhance productivity, quality, and operational excellence. The Method and Process Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams, implements process changes, and provides technical expertise to drive continuous improvement and streamline operations.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

•         Analyse existing engineering methods, processes, and workflows to identify areas for improvement, optimization, and standardization.

•         Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and stakeholders, to understand process requirements, objectives, and challenges.

•         Develop and implement efficient and effective methods and processes, utilizing best practices and industry standards, to enhance productivity, quality, and operational excellence.

•         Conduct time and motion studies, process mapping, and data analysis to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation or optimization.•         Design and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation to ensure consistency and compliance with established methods and standards.

•         Collaborate with project teams to implement process changes, monitor their effectiveness, and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

•         Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and software that can enhance engineering methods and processes, and make recommendations for their adoption.

•         Collaborate with stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop metrics to measure process performance and monitor improvements.

•         Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams regarding process- related issues, troubleshooting, and improvement opportunities.

•         Conduct training and workshops to educate employees on new methods, processes, and tools, ensuring their understanding and successful implementation.

•         Participate in cross-functional teams for process-related projects, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and achievement of objectives.

•         Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in engineering methods and processes, and incorporate relevant changes into the company’s operations.

Qualification 

•         Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. A master’s degree is preferapply-d.

•         Proven experience as a Method and Process Engineer or a similar role in an engineering company.

•         Strong knowledge of engineering methods, processes, and workflows across relevant disciplines (ideally, O&G offshore installation industry).

•         Proficiency in process analysis techniques, process mapping, and data analysis.

•         Experience in developing and implementing efficient and effective engineering methods and processes.

•         Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in engineering process optimization and operational excellence.

•         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.

•         Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

•         Good understanding of process documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

•         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

•         Knowledge of technologies, tools, and software relevant to engineering process optimization.

•         Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies is desirable.

Communication 

Internal Communication:

•        Engineering & Construction team•        Offshore Construction Team

Purpose:

•        To collect data and organize review workshop.

•        To review existing processes and proposed new / optimized processes to match COMPANY and standards requirements.

External Communication:

•        ISO Certification bodies and third-party entities.

Purpose:

•        To ensure compliance with requirements, rules and regulations.

•        To maintain good working relationships with external representatives. 

Occupational Health & Safety and Environment

Accountability:

Are accountable for their acts and omissions. 

Responsibility:

To follow agreed safe systems of work; to follow training and instructions; and to 

report accidents, incidents and near misses.

Authority:

To stop work if they think the work is unsafe.Minimum Qualification/Experiences/Skills

Education & Professional Qualification:

•        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

•        ISO 9001 Lead auditor + experience of audit performed

•        Lean six sigma belt.

Professional Experience:

•        Minimum 5 years’ experience in Engineering Company

•        Minimum 5 years’ experience as Method / Process Engineer

•        3 years’ experience with offshore oil and gas industry is preferapply-d

Computer Skills:

•        Must be fully expert in Microsoft Office packages.

Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge:

•        Should be able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including third-party consultants.

•        Should be highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

•        Should be detail-oriented and able to ensure that plans are accurate and comply with all relevant regulations and guidelines.

Language Skills:

•        Fluent in English – both written and spoken.

•        Arabic a plus
